Fortnite High Stakes Stream: New Challenges, LTM, Skin announced, gameplay to be shown at PAX

How’s your poker face? Fortnite is getting a whole new set of High Stakes challenges next week, along with a new Getaway LTM and Wild Card outfit.

Gameplay of the new challenges will be shown off during Fortnite’s PAX stream this weekend, which we’ve embedded below so you can tune in.

The steam is supposed to last “all weekend long” and starts at 6PM PT, that’s 9PM Eastern Time, 2AM the next day in the UK, and 3AM in central Europe.

The challenges and skin look to be themed around casino gambling, with the LTM title of “Getaway” suggesting that it’ll have something to do with an Ocean’s Eleven-style heist.

Fortnite posted a sneak peak of what we can assume is the Wild Card outfit on Twitter. The all white and mask combo is cool, and given the introduction of selectable styles for skins during season 4 we might be able to change the card suit printed on the mask.

Speaking of Fortnite challenges the week 8 batch dropped yesterday, including sending you off to search between three oversized chairs.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty straightforward though, so it’ll be fun to see whether this new set can spice things up. Season 5 has had some really interesting tasks to complete – like the Timed Trials, Basketball, and daredevil Flaming Hoops challenges – so here’s hoping Epic can top those.
